After London
After London is a track of 3min 54secs. Clicking on the plectrum on the left returns stereo MP3 format file sized at 3.7Mb.

This track is a remake of an Ian Telfer lyric. The original version was slated for Holy Bandits but the tune and the arrangement were deemed too old fashioned.

Attempts to rework it failed at the time and it was abandoned until I made this demo. I've performed this occasionally in clubs just with acoustic guitar and I usually have a good reaction. I was planning a CD called "Rogue", a sort of modern folk rock thing, and when all the tracks were recorded, this track being one of them, I chickened out in favour of a more acoustic approach which culminated eventually in "makerfield".

  Lyric: Ian Telfer
Music: Alan Prosser

That's all it takes
A strange clearness in the sky
The one bird that flies too high
Failsafe in the wrong place
Right look but the wrong face

That's all it takes
How the North Sea turns black
What you said you can't call back
How the Thames' wind cut your eyes
Spring tides that rise and rise and rise
It goes critical.......... mmmm It goes critical

CHORUS
After London
Nothing could be the same
After London
Would you still know my name?
After London
Who would want to try again?

And when it starts
It's like a silence drawing near
Too low to feel too high to hear
The wind shifts a wave breaks
Out of the blue your whole hand shakes. Yes
Out of the blue your whole hand shakes and that's all it takes to go critical... to go critical

CHORUS
